You are a spirit, you have a soul, and you live in a body. Modern psychology only recognizes the soul and body of mankind. As a born-again believer, united together with Christ’s death, burial, resurrection, and ascension, you can pray with boldness, victory, and faith, based upon your position in Christ. Many of us inadvertently pray from an Old Covenant position, asking God for things that He has already provided for us in the New Covenant. Prayer requests for things that have already been granted by God’s grace are never answered. The promises of God are obtained by declared faith and thanksgiving.
