Empower, Equip, Elevate: DEVELOPING Leaders and Discipling Believers

5G Reformation Church began in Byron & Leesa Hamilton's living room in the summer of 2023 in Midlothian, Texas. In January 2024, they began meeting at the Venus Civic Center and then moved to the Blaine Stone Lodge in Midlothian in June 2024.

The church is committed to demonstrating a five-fold leadership team of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Shepherd, and Teacher as outlined in Ephesians 4:11. We believe that each five-fold leader is commissioned to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, to bring the local body of believers into the full maturity of Jesus Christ and the unity of the faith.

5G Church believes in body-life ministry where every believer knows and operates in their spiritual gifts and has regular opportunities to edify the body of Christ.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Honor the Lord with your possessions and the first-fruits of all your increase;

So your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

Frequently Asked Questions

    The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, including both the Old and New Testaments, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as the Holy Spirit inspired and guided them. The New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, is our infallible guide in matters concerning conduct and is profitable for doctrine, correction, and instruction in righteous living. (II Tim. 3:16; I Thess. 2:13; II Pet. 1:21).

    The Godhead

We believe our Godhead is one, but manifested in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, being co-equal. (Phil. 2:6) God the Father is the first person of the Trinity, its functional Head, and the sender of the Word (Logos).  (John 14:28; John 16:28; John 1:14)

The Son is the Word made flesh, the Only Begotten, was existent with the Father from the beginning and is now resurrected and sitting at the Father’s right hand.  (John 1:1; John 1:18; John 1:14)

The Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son, is eternal, and lives within those who have put their trust in Jesus Christ. (John 15:26)

The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus is fully God and fully man.  We see His Deity expressed through fulfilled Messianic prophecies, the virgin birth, His sinless life, His statements, His bodily resurrection from the dead, and His exaltation at God’s right hand.  (Matt. 3:17, 12:39-40, 17:5; Luke 3:22; Isaiah 9:6; Jn 1:33, 34; Is. 7:14; Heb. 2:17, 18; John 11:47; 12:37; Rom. 1:4; I Cor. 15:14; Eph. 2:19-23)

    Man, His Fall, and Redemption

We believe man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God.  But through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world.  “…all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,” and “…There is none righteous, no, not one.”  Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to destroy the work of the devil and give His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man to God (Rom. 5:12-15; 3:10; 3:23; I John 3:8).  Salvation is the gift to man by God’s grace, separate from works and the Law, and is made operative through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God. (Eph. 2: 8-10)

Eternal Life and the New Birth

We believe man’s first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that produces repentance.  Salvation through Christ’s atonement is provided for all men, and when acted upon by faith, produces the new spiritual birth and eternal life (II Cor. 7:10; Eph. 2:8-9; I John 5:12; John 3:3-5; 1 John 5:11-13). We believe that every believer is joined to Christ upon receiving salvation and becomes one spirit with Him (1 Cor. 6:17). Our union with Christ joins us to His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension (Rom. 6:5-8; Eph. 2:6).  Our union into Christ’s death crucifies the Old Man (the Adamic nature, the Flesh) once and for all and our union into Christ’s resurrection brings us a new resurrected eternal life; Christ’s life becomes ours through the Holy Spirit. (Rom 6:6-11)

    The Ordinances of the Church

Water Baptism – Baptism in water is by emersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord, and is for believers only.  The ordinance is the Christian’s outward identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection (Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:4; Col. 2:12; Acts 8:36-39).  The following recommendation regarding the water baptismal formula is adopted; to wit: “On the confession of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and by His Authority, I baptize you in the Name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

Holy Communion – This ordinance is the outward identification and participation in the broken body and shed blood of our Lord, the believer’s engagement in the benefits of His atoning death, and the covenant which He sealed in His blood.  It represents our union with Him, who is the sustenance of our spiritual life.  It is a memorial of His death, and looks forward to His coming again.  It was instituted by our Lord with His command to His disciples to observe it, whenever and wherever. (Luke 22:19, 20; Matt. 26:26, 27; I Cor. 11:24; I Cor. 11:27-32)

    Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers and is received subsequent to the New Birth.  We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are still valid today, being sovereignly distributed to every member of Christ's Church, as the Holy Spirit wills, for the purpose of edifying the entire body of Christ.  Matt. 3:11; John 14:16, 17; Acts 1 8; 2:38-39; 19:1-7; 2:4; 1Cor 12:1-11; Rom 12:3-8; 1Peter 4:10)

    Sanctification and Holiness

We believe that holiness is an immediate work of grace in the spirit of the believer, and yet a progressive work of grace in the soul, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ’s return. Thus, the Scriptures state, “By His will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.  For by one offering, He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified” (Hebrews 10:10, 14). We believe the soul is in the process of being made whole. (Heb. 12:14; I Thess. 5:23; II Pet. 3:18; II Cor. 3:18; Phil. 3:12-14; I Cor. 1:30; James 1:19-21). We believe that salvation in its fullness occurs in the spirit of man at salvation; that the spirit of man is made new, fully righteous, and holy, in the full image of Jesus Christ, and then sealed by the Holy Spirit. (2 Cor. 5:17; Eph. 4:24; Col. 3:10; Eph. 1:13-14)

The Church, its Mission, and Ministry

We believe the universal Church is the living body of Christ, with divine appointments to fulfill the great commission and disciple God’s people.  We believe Christ has given the Church the five-fold ministry leadership gifts of apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds, and teachers; “…for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” We believe in the New Testament governance of Elders and Deacons.  (Matt. 28:18-20; I Cor. 12:27, 28; Eph. 4:7-16)

    Divine Healing

We believe healing is for the physical ailments of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith.  It is provided by grace through the atonement of Christ and is the privilege and covenantal rite of every member of the Church today.  (Mark 16:18; James 5:14, 15; I Pet. 2:24; Matt. 8:17; Isa. 53:4, 5)

    Eschatology

The angels said to Jesus’ disciples, “…this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen Him go into heaven.”  When He comes, “…the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air…” (Acts 1:11; I Thess. 4:16. 17).  He shall return to earth as King of kings, and Lord of lords, together with believers who have already transitioned from this life (Rev. 20: 6). Following the final Judgment, we believe in the New Heaven and the New earth, in which every believer shall live for eternity.  (II Pet. 3: 5-13; Rev. 21: 1-3)

    Hell and Eternal Retribution

We believe the one who physically dies in his sins and has rejected Christ is eternally lost in the lake of fire and, therefore, has no further opportunity to hear the gospel or repent.  The lake of fire is literal, just as heaven is literal.  The terms “eternal” and “everlasting” are used to describe both heaven (with the joy and ecstasy of saints in the presence of God) and hell (with torment and darkness void of the presence of God).  (Heb. 9:27; Rev. 19:20)
